Well ok. I knew I wasn't going to like it much, what with no Rodney, no Teyla, no Ronon and Joe Mallozzi writing it, but I wanted to like it. It's SGA after all. It  has John Sheppard.

I'm going to gloss over the constant splitting up "to cover more ground" and running away from main group and protection smack into danger, because that is a must-do in horror. No. What I really didn't like, was:

So for now, Whispers is at the bottom of the S5 heap, where I hope it will stay. If this is the last season, I want all awesome episodes.

SciFi is fucking insane. FUCKING. INSANE.

The trade magazine also reported that the show will be set on board a previously unmanned ship called the Destiny, and will involve more space-based action than its predecessors. "Unable to return to Earth, the crew must fend for themselves aboard the ship, which has a preprogrammed mission taking them to the far reaches of the universe," the magazine said.

The new series will also be aimed at a slightly younger audience, SCI FI president Dave Howe said.


To toss SGA and then replace it with yet another generic SciFi show about a group of people on a freaking space ship on a mission-with-no-end, like Farscape, like Firefly, like Startrek One thru Gazillion, like Galactica, like Red Dwarf, like every Tom, Dick and Harry SciFi show that has ever been aired!  Unbelievable.

Listen, producers, you had something with SGA! When you put your teenage cast on board of a space ship, the only thing your audience gets is badly lit corridors, meeting rooms and a glimpse of black, cheerless deep space through tiny little windows! Which might make for cost effective sets, but it is CRAP to look at!

I want stained glass windows! I want ocean, I want a beautiful city, I want whales, I want off world visits! I WANT MY TEAM!

Okay, so I admit, I never watched the first one and a half season of Supernatural and after seeing a couple of episodes of season 3 I decided I wasn't going to, but then two weeks ago my tv-buddy gave me a pile of DVD's including SPN and guys! .... I am all a-flutter!

Yes, yes! I know, there are issues with season 3, but I don't care right now. There are no issues with Season One. I love season one. Season One. Is. Awesome.

Awesome!

And you know, maybe in season 4 the show will get a handle on the women/blacks/gays molestation angle and all will be well slightly better in TV land.
