This is Bart. Bart is a fellow student, not a model. We put him in the chair when our model for the evening was taken to the hospital after she fell from the steps at the train station. Bart couldn't sit still for more than three seconds, so I had to do this real quick.

This is an excellent portrait. Everything about it, really... how you captured his personality with so few, decisive lines, and in such a short time! Have you got more art to post?

I am not quite ready to show my full frontal male nudes *g* (and they aren't any good).

The poor quality of my digital camera makes this drawing a bit more blurry than it actually is, the original is more detailed. I am so pleased with how his chin came out though! XD

I'll try to post more drawings; but I need a better camera. Or a scanner.

Heh. I have a bunch of nude drawings to that I'd been meaning to upload myself.

Though it just occurred to me, is it against LJ's TOS to post nekkid people full frontal? (Behind a cut, of course.) I never paid attention when these LJ policies were discussed because all my fanart is gen, with everyone fully clothed. And full frontal nudity isn't a big deal in Germany, but LJ, I don't know.

Well, I should hope it's okay. It's art and isn't LJ all about expressing yourself? On the other hand, seeing as how ballistic some people got over pictures of breast feeding a year ago (although that was Facebook) - I don't know. Maybe lock the post behind "adult concepts" to be safe?

I really look forward to seeing those drawings. How do you scan your drawings when they're really large? We use such large sheets in class, they're too big even for my office scanner.

The roommate has an A3 scanner, everything larger than that I just take a picture of with my digital camera. I've even scanned in a few photos I'd taken with my now-antique film camera, quality was decent enough for posting.

Seriously, though, this is awesome! Not only does he look like a person (something I always seem to have trouble with), but he looks like a real person I might run into on the street!

You know Yves Rocher? That brand of beauty products that gives you all this free crap when you order seven boxes of face cream instead of one tube? Well, my mom got a "free" digital camera with her last order and tonight I put in batteries, installed the software, plugged in the USB cable and shot a picture of this drawing. Except that the lens is crooked, so I have to point next to the subject I want to photograph and I still missed part of the hair. I was busy all evening. *desperately needs scanner* XD

But I am really pleased with how Martin Gero Bart turned out. I should stick to fast sketches. When I start thinking about what I'm doing when I'm drawing, I mess up.
