I don't have much to add to all the wonderful, inspiring, electrifying posts that I've read over the last couple of weeks. I am just eternally grateful that I got to vote in this election and I hope Obama wins.
I've more or less decided to take the day off... I doubt I can get much work done, with the election going on. It's distracting. And nervewrecking.
Cool that you got to vote. I had no idea you're an American citizen - is one of your parents an American, or did you get citizenship because you were born in the US?
I was born in California, so I am not exactly flipping a state with my vote, but I'm SO excited to be part of the process. *\0/* And I should definitely have taken the day off; I spent more time on cnn.com today than on my work. But it's like watching history being made! Who can work when that's happening? :D
I've been buzzing with excitement all day. I sent in my ballot a month ago (my first US election!) and today, hearing about the record turn out, reading how people stood in line at 4 AM, hours before the polls opened, it's just an incredible feeling.
